Ahhhh, the infamous PLATFORM question! Contrary to popular belief, Facebook and Instagram are not the BEST platforms for EVERY business and/or brand. It can be overwhelming when we attempt to be active on EVERY platform, as they should all be used differently, and It depends on a number of things like:
- Who is your target market? How old are they? What is their profession? Are they creative or intellectual, or both? Do they actively use social media?
- What are your business goals? Earning revenue and scaling QUICKLY? Brand awareness? Collaborating with brands? Establishing your personal brand?
- What type of content are you sharing? Products? Articles? Tips and tricks? Blog post? Videos?

Pros-- Great for a sponsored post, reaching more mature audiences, great for videos and Facebook live.
Cons-- Pay to play, low organic reach
Best Content to Post: Live videos, Video promotions, Quotes, Memes, "This or That" content, Viral content, Events.
Pros-- Great for reaching a large demographic of people, great for product based companies, great for personal brands, option for more candid images/stories, live interaction options, great for partnering influencers/brands, great for campaigns, great for creatives.
Cons-- Search is limited, hard to get all of your content seen, no way to include links directly without swipe up feature, hashtag bans, limited reach for accounts with low engagement.
Best Content to Post: High-resolution photos, quotes, BTS/Candid stories, Motivational/Informative/Creative Videos, products, lifestyle images.
Pros-- Great for professional connections, connecting with corporate companies, building expertise in your industry, perfecting your resume.
Cons-- Takes time a consistency, more formal.
Best Content to Post: Current trends within your industry, Company news, speaking engagements/workshops/etc, professional content/article, job openings.
Pros-- Great for video longer than 5 minutes, more structured than stories/live/etc, great for evergreen content.
Cons-- Takes a full-time effort or a team to get traction. Must be consistent and creative with content that is "Google-able."
Best Content to Post: Evergreen videos, How-To's, Motivational, "Google-able"
Twitter Pros-- Great for short-term content and buzz, media outlets, and public figures.
Cons-- Not good for visual content and smaller influencers. Larger male demographic.
Best Content to Post: Trending news, memes, GIFs
Pros-- Great for driving blog traffic and other platforms!
Cons-- Not a "Social Media Platform" it is a search engine like Google and Youtube. Takes a lot of time to create searchable content.
Best Content to Post: Infographics and step-by-step photo guides.
